Common questions about the workshops.

Q. What should I expect?

A.  You should come prepared to do a lot of walking and hiking. (We may do some modest bouldering, but won’t get into technical climbing).  Be sure to wear clothes that are comfortable for the season and the weather.  Shoes should be comfortable and broke-in.   Bring any camera gear you need, that will fit in a back pack.  Don’t forget to include a tri-pod, and plenty of battery power.  We will take frequent breaks during the day.    We leave early in the morning and head to pre-determined locations.  The main focus is field shooting.  At times we don’t mind waiting for the light.  We will spend the entire day and return after dark.

Q. What should I bring?

A.  Bring a back-pack lunch and Plenty of water.  Bring a hat.  Bring your Camera or I phone.  Bring a Digital SLR if you have one and bring your gear. Bring comfortable clothes and footwear.  Bring sun protection.  Bring your tri-pod.

Q. What is the goal of this workshop?

A.  The goal is for each participant to come home with a great image, suitable for framing.  We will help you build on your current skills and help you develop new ones.  We will teach you about the “Art of Seeing.”

This workshop is about you, the instructor may not be packing a camera.  All of our time is spent on your success as a photographer.

Q. Who is this workshop for?

A. This workshop provides individuals the opportunity to explore and develop the craft of photography.  It will appeal to all skills levels in photography.  During our breaks we will review participant’s images on the lap-top to hone skills and improve artful compositions.

Q. What about lodging?

A. lodging is the participants responsibility. 

Q. Are there establishments to eat along the way?

A. We are heading to the out-back.  Eateries are few and far between.  We recommend that you plan to bring a snack or a meal that will fit in your back-pack.

Q. Where does the workshop start?

A. This information is different for each tour.  More details will be sent to you after you sign up.

Q. How long will the workshop last?

A. These workshops are full day events.  We will leave early and return late. 

Q. How much does it cost?

A. The workshops costs vary by the destination.  Transportation is provided to and from the workshop beginning at the point of pick-up to the point of drop-off. Once you make a reservation, please plan to attend.  There is a $100.00 cancellation fee within 14 days of the work-shop.

Q. Do you offer private workshops?

A. Private workshops can be arranged by contacting the Artist.

Q. Do you have a waiting list?

A. Yes, and if we have a cancellation, you will be contacted in the order you signed up.

Q. In what other locations do you conduct workshops?

A. We have favorite places that we frequent.  Locations in Utah, Arizona and Nevada Present great sites for a successful day-trip.  We can arrange overnight trips for charter groups to any location within a 500 mile radius of Las Vegas, Nevada.  Review the images in our gallery pages to get a feel for locations that we like to go.  Contact the Artist for more detailed arrangements.
